For the last few months, Google has been seriously cracking down on link sale and so forth. So, how's a respectable dodgy website owner to manipulate search engines and draw visitors?
A few days ago, I mentioned Ron Paul, noted scary American presidential candidate, on this blog. Within hours, the rather boring article had about eight comments, including one from someone who seemingly thought that I was Ron Paul. In all, about 150 people visited through searching for 'Ron Paul'!
It's clear, then. This is the way to get traffic. Simply pepper everything with irrelevant references to popular weird people. As Ron Paul would say.

I think you are sadly mistaken. Ron Paul is the only candidate who is NOT scary.
Hillary, Obama and McCain are all communists. Now THAT is scary!
Scary is when people feel they have the right and need to control other peoples lives through force. I'm sure you'd be more than happy to point the finger at others who do such. But if you think Ron Paul is scary, then obviously you are exactly like those you point the fingers at only offering the other side.
This makes you a boolean. And Ron Paul is scary to booleans on both sides because he speaks of values other than 2 predetermined values. As such, he draws fire from both sides who just can't handle the freedom of being a string, and have to throw exceptions to it.
Hi Robert. Ron Paul is indeed scary to a lot of people. I'd say this is particularly true in Ireland, since we have never really had a strong culture of individual liberty or limited government. You might find him less scary if you read some of the things he has written:

If you already understand his positions, or if you still find them scary after reading them first hand, accept my humble apologies. But it's possible that you will find his program less scary after you read his articles linked to above.
Sorry, I'm aware of his positions. He still scares the hell out of me. I don't happen to think that a hamstrung central government is a good thing.
Ok, well I'm sorry to bother you then. It's hard to tell sometimes if a critic knows what is being proposed by someone like Paul.
I know you already know this, but his articles explain in some detail why he believes the US should end the war on drugs, bring troops home from foreign bases, restore civil liberties, bring back an honest (inflation - proof) supply of money, and rein in runaway spending.
In other words, he is trying to stop the US federal government from bankrupting its citizens, taking away their freedoms, and engaging in military adventurism. Is that so much scarier than for the US govt to continue down its current path? :-)
