Wikipedia Founder Not Really Dead
The Register, fabulous online news source, recently posted a hoax piece about the death of Jimmy Wales, the founder of Wikipedia, based entirely on (false) information found on that online encyclopaedia. It also comments on his involvement with pornography (this is true, as far as it goes; his Bomis site sells or sold pornography, but he is known to be extremely sensitive about the use of the word 'pornography' to describe said content). Some people are quite upset about the whole thing, for some reason. And on a blog's comment page talking about the incident, we are told that it should be obvious that it was a hoax, because of the '.uk' in the domain name. Yes; everything from the UK is sarcastic, apparently.
